Library Catalogue updates 2021-2022

Looking for your family?  You might find they have featured in a book or journal article. In the last year the library has focussed on adding the names of these people to the catalogue:

  • Western Ancestor - 234 articles have been catalogued. These are predominantly articles about people.
  • Early Days [Journal of the Royal WA Historical Society] – 288 articles have been catalogued.  These are predominantly articles about people.
  • The South Australian Genealogist - 39 articles have been catalogued so far.
  • Family history collection - all books about Western Australian families have been indexed, progress is continuing on South Australian family histories


Our Funeral Ephemera collection now has items for 66 people. These are also included in the catalogue.

The criteria for this collection are that the person who has died must either have been born in, or died in, Western Australia.  Donations of funeral programmes, bookmarks etc. are welcome
