My Grandfather's Clock: four centuries of a British-Australian FamilyDate:
A review of the book - My Grandfather's Clock by Graeme Davidson popped into my email Inbox this morning. The book, written by one of Australia's leading historians, is a combination of history and family history … tracing back to find ‘lost relations’ and looking forward to consider how their actions and decisions affected their descendants. And the story is brought together by the family's grandfather clock. What an interesting approach! To read the review, follow this link..... Review - My Grandfather's Clock

I enjoyed the review of this book enough to consider purchasing it. It's not often an item of furniture survives so long in this modern age and it's a clever way of weaving the generations together. One can't help wondering about questioning the survival ethics of his forebear when if he hadn't been 'fluid' in his loyalties, the writer may not have lived to record the story! :)
