Am I the only person who didn’t know that the files that hang in a filing cabinet are called “Vertical Files”?  Just one of the things I have learned while browsing through our Library collections at May Street.  More importantly, I’ve actually found out what treasures can be un-earthed in the Vertical Files.

We have an extensive collection in our library about all aspects of the use of DNA for family history research.

This includes how-to guides both introductory and advanced, why-to books, history of DNA and family history, and many more.

Not all that is DNA is online. 

Looking for your family?  You might find they have featured in a book or journal article. In the last year the library has focussed on adding the names of these people to the catalogue:
