Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Free Resources

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are communities of FHWA members who share a common research focus, geographic area, or specialist topic. Each group provides a friendly environment for learning, discussion, and practical support. SIGs meet regularly to explore records, share research strategies, solve problems together, and help members deepen their family history skills. All FHWA members are welcome to participate, and most groups also welcome visitors.

Each Group has its own webpage, and a free brochure outlining their activities and contacts . These are listed below.

GEOGRAPHIC SIGs research in specific regions, countries, or cultural areas. Members share resources, maps, migration patterns, and local history knowledge to help each other trace ancestors across the world.
