Very useful article - thank you, Chris. I wonder whether you know anything about warrant immigrants, who also appear to have been another category of assisted immigrants? I haven't been able to find any further information. They are mentioned in this article http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article5825535 about the arrival of the Corona in Melbourne in 1870.
