Preserving Precious Documents - Workshop
Learn steps to preserve all the materials gathered during your family history research. These may include documents, photographs, publications, recordings and items of regalia.
Diane Foster will demonstrate strategies to protect and preserve all those precious items that we have tucked away in boxes, cupboards, attic and even in the shed!
Some folders designed to protect materials will be available for sale or participants will be directed to suppliers of other storage systems.
Diane Foster, FHWA's Archivist, is a professional archivist and librarian, has advised organisations and individuals how protect materials in their possession.
Feel free to bring along items to ask for advice. BUT, please consider how fragile the item is before bringing it in.
