Legacy User Group (February 2023)
Topic: FamilySearch Integration module and making the most of RootsTech Connect
RootsTech is happening March 2-4. This is a huge event happening both in person at Salt Lake City and online. You need to register and registering for the online sections is free.
As part of RootsTech for a short while before and after it you can opt into RootsTech Connect sometimes referred to as Relatives at RootsTech. You get a list of people you connect to in the FamilySearch tree who are also attending RootsTech and opt to participate. It updates at least daily.
You may find and connect with close or very distant relatives. It gives you a way to check your ancestral lines in the FamilySearch tree to either move your research further back or correct links in the FamilySearch tree. These relatives may be able to help you. At least you know they are actively researching.
You can use the Legacy FamilySearch Integration Module to add the lines to your Legacy database.
I'll show you how to hashtag them and privatise them, so you can follow up and verify them at your leisure.
