The South Australian Interest Group of FamilyHistoryWA meets once a quarter to assist people with South Australian ancestry to research their family history.

Bring along your examples of your ancestors' departure from their home country and arrival in South Australia. We will then investigate guides to research, what records are available and how to find them.

Marcia Watson sent an example of an Adelaide marriage that appeared to be registered twice, why the marriage took place after all five children were born and why the couple are buried in different parts of West Terrace Cemetery. Understanding records will always help our research.
