This is the general meeting of the India and South East Asia group (11am - 1pm).

ISEA member Susan Fearn will talk about the life and times of ‘General Morgan’, who served with the British Army and saw action in India, China and Malta. He was present at the Indian Rebellion (Indian Mutiny or Sepoy Uprising) (1857-1859) and from there to Peking and Taku at the closing of the Second China War (1860). Susan will focus on some of the places and events that General Morgan was involved in.

Plus, there will be a general discussion on how newspapers can help with our research. Please bring along details of any newspapers you have found useful when researching your ancestors.
