Midland Line Shutdown postponed to early 2023 09th September 2022
The Midland Line Shutdown has been postponed to facilitate critical works on the METRONET New Bayswater Station Project. The shutdown will now take place in early-2023, reducing the impact on commuters – particularly for this year’s Perth Royal Show. With ongoing challenges from global supply chain issues, the change will also provide more time to prepare for these critical works. Shutdown works will include the removal and replacement of about 1.8 kilometres of track and other rail systems.
