FamilyHistoryWA (FHWA) is the largest family history society in Western Australia. We assist family historians to research family history in Western Australia, as well as all corners of the world.

FHWA Open Day is on again


28th July 2023

August is National Family History Month

FamilyHistoryWA joins this national occasion with two events: 

  • A Day of free presentations on Tuesday August 8 from 10am-3.00 pm, at the State Library of WA - get some up-to-date and expert help with growing your family tree, and see what resources are available at the State Library, and
  • The FHWA Open Day at May St on Sunday August 13 from 10.00 am to 4.30pm.Come down and meet representatives from all of the Interest groups, and check out the resources we have on site for your family history research.

You can also join a range of online events being conducted by the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations.  The theme for 2023 is Secrets and Lies - using AI responsibly and handling sensitive subjects in your family history research.
