Irish Interest Group

céad míle fáilte

('a hundred thousand welcomes' in Irish)

Welcome to the Irish Interest Group, the first Interest Group to be formed in our Society back in October 1981. Many members of the Society then and now have at least some Irish family history. Meeting up with other enthusiatists to share knowledge and ideas helps everyone explore their Irish connection.

Our Motto:  Irish research: challenging - not impossible!

Come along to the Irish Interest Group meetings, share what you have learned, share details of your ancestors.

Joining the Irish group for the 1st time? - complete this Interests Form to aid the discussion;  be inspired by the members stories, get research news and ideas with an Irish focus.

The group loves a challenge, bring along details of your research 'Brick Wall' using our questionnaire to our next Brickwall Forum/Research meeting.
